It is curious that on Monday, the lazier day and the one with less desire to do anything creative, I have it associated with my inspiration day. So today’s post, I will talk about my last four Mondays and the images that inspired me: Flat shapes, pop aesthetic and color. I relate this concepts with what I like, both in personal level (i.e. decoration or fashion) also to functional level to all the projects that I work with.
When I start a new project, I think it’s key look aesthetic and conceptual references to create a relationship of understanding between my eye (as an illustrator and art director) and the client that made an assigment to see reflected my style and concept.
These images have been clearly a reference for AM Ketterer projects that I’ve launched recently. Here I explain it with details:
The pieces in methacrylate pop aesthetic have inspired me for the jewelry collection MAMBOMAMBO made in methacrylate: flat shapes and color. Here you can find the post with additional information of these new jewel.
The second image with a fuchsia wall was my inspiration for the new Logo AM Ketterer using colors: white, black, fuchsia and its opposite, yellow. Thus creates an harmonious balance: pop aesthetic and color.
Finally, the last two images, I have got inspired by the color scheme that I used to illustrate Coloreando Tropicana (Coloring Tropicana) and Ketterito. It is based on basic black, blue, citronella yellow, pink and white, flat and without perspective, a visual reference of pop art.
